Opening up new galleries that have not been seen by the public since 1948 in the Old General Herbarium (wooden cabinets) and since 2004 The Origins Gallery (green cabinets) which holds the Coleoptera collection (beetles) Curator assistant Talay, looking into a cabinet in the Origins Gallery. Also in the same gallery was curator assistant Yikai Zhang who was researching and curating the Gilmour Collection of Longhorn beetles. Doug Gurr Director of the Natural History Museum who was photographed in the newly refurbished gardens. Laying down on a wooden rest bench in the Nature Discovery Garden also shot standing beside a look and listen display at the same garden. Doug was also photographed in the Old General Herbarium gallery. And finally in a soon to be opened gallery called â There are also GVâs of the various Galleries. Including, Max Barclay who is a senior curator in charge of the Beetle collection. (Origins Gallery, microscope) also photographed the empty gallery which will open in Spring 2025 it will be Fixing Our Broken Planet. Pictures by Richard Cannon
